Capital Campaign Frequently Asked Questions
I donated at the beginning of the school year. Will my donation count towards the Capital Campaign?
YES! All donations make to the Foundation will be applied to your student’s account by the end of the March 1-12, 2021 Capital Campaign. I sent cash/check into the school with my child, but do not see the amount on their account. Donations will be counted on Wednesday and Friday of March 1-12. The final week of the campaign, we will count daily. Please contact us if this time has passed and you do not see your child’s donation. Also, if you have created your child’s account after the cash/check donation was sent in a volunteer needs to merge an offline account with your online account. The student still gets credit for the donation with either format. My employer matches donations, will my student get credit for this? YES! Click here for information on this. Letters/forms of employer intent to donate received by the Foundation by 10/30 will be added to your student’s total. When will my student receive their incentives? Discount cards will be awarded on a rolling basis. Events will be scheduled after the Capital Campaign has ended. We need to know the number of students participating prior to making arrangements. School wide incentives will be scheduled as they are earned. Is my donation tax deductible? The Rocky Mount Foundation operates under the Cobb County Schools 501(C) 3. Most times this donation is tax deductible. We recommend consulting your tax advisor to learn more. When donating through the Get Movin Fund Hub, why is there an optional 10% donation? This optional donation will cover credit card processing and online usage fees. Your donation will help cover the Foundation’s costs so our school keeps more of the total funds raised. Does the Foundation pay fees on cash or check donations? The Foundation keeps 100% of these donations. |
